She died on 26 July 1889, in Wasatch, Utah, United States, at the age of 57, and was buried in Heber City Cemetery, Heber City, Wasatch, Utah, United States.

The descendants of John Jordan were also cattlemen in the Heber Valley. Their ranch was located just to the south of the Jordanelle Dam which name was taken from the Cafe by the same name which they also owned and operated. He was in the first group of settlers to enter the valley. He was one of the original families in the Heber Fort.
